About

Ruoheng Zhao received his B.C. from Huazhong University of Sci.&Tech. and is currently a first-year M.S. graduate student in the department of Materials Science and Engineering at UCR. My current project is about nanostructural, elemental and functional feature of radular teech from chiton (chiton articulatus), an abrasion-resistant material. This investigation may help us understand biological structure design contributing to ultra hardness and compare with the results from other species(Cryptochiton Stelleri). Our final goal is to design a biomimetic organic-scaffold-based ceramic material which is tough and light. I like traveling, badminton and cats.
