Today was a relaxed day. We needed at least one off day for our bodies to recuperate from the various activities we had done in Beijing since our arrival. In the evening we went to the second Chinese culture club meeting. The theme for this week was Chinese art and music. One of the club members played a majestic Mongolian song on a Chinese guitar while the rest of the club displayed their dance moves while keeping up with the beat. It was a great way to let loose and relieve stress. Shortly after, the club president began to talk about the style and history of Chinese art. Then a young female club member showed us how to paint bamboo on a blank canvas using ink/water brush techniques. Cody had the best painting out of all of us.
