Today we visited the Lama Temple, the Confucious Temple, and the Imperial Academy.
Cody, Isaac, and Victor (a host student) admiring the temple. |
Visitors to the temple burned incense, which accounted for a very strong smell throughout the temple complex. |
Victor, Isaac, David, Cody, and Blim posing with Confucius at his traditional school. |
The first of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging. The colors are more lifelike, and not as washed out as most images. This is part of the Confucious school. |

Water features are rare in Chinese architecture. This one had a central building connected by four bridges. |
Traditional Chinese architecture always has a very decorative eve and stonework, and all buildings are raised up on a pedastal of stone at least three feet high. |
Like water, trees are a rare occurance in the traditional Chinese sites. |
David ording dinner at a Beijing Duck restaurant. |
