Today we visited the Lama Temple, the Confucious Temple, and the Imperial Academy.

Cody, Isaac, and Victor (a host student) admiring the temple.
Visitors to the temple burned incense, which accounted for a very strong smell throughout the temple complex.
Victor, Isaac, David, Cody, and Blim posing with Confucius at his traditional school.
The first of the HDR (High Dynamic Range) imaging. The colors are more lifelike, and not as washed out as most images. This is part of the Confucious school.
Water features are rare in Chinese architecture. This one had a central building connected by four bridges.
Traditional Chinese architecture always has a very decorative eve and stonework, and all buildings are raised up on a pedastal of stone at least three feet high.
Like water, trees are a rare occurance in the traditional Chinese sites.
David ording dinner at a Beijing Duck restaurant.
Isaac getting ready for Beijing duck.
