Today was the first day of the program. We all met at LAX for our flight, which wasn't scheduled to leave until 1:40am. After 7 hours of waiting about, we finally boarded the airplane and were off on our way to China. The flight was 13 hours long, and the beginning of our immersion into Chinese culture. Most of the other patrons were Chinese nationals returning from touring in the United States. |
