Social Activities: UCR local host for NSF IRES‐China Program

We are the local host of NSF IRES-China program in UC Riverside, initiated by Prof. Albert Wang and Prof. Sheldon Tan. In this program, 3 US undergraduate students will travel to China in summer for 2 months, to exchange their study and culture experience. Our chapter provided technical training to the students in Department of Electrical Engineering Lab for Integrated Circuits and Systems. After the training, they understand IC flow well and capable of operating probe station and other equipments to conduct wafer level testing.

Joint Social Activities: 7th Annual Bourns Space Science and Engineering Day

On Apr 18th 2009, our chapter volunteered to joint-hold one of the most important yearly social events of UC Riverside: 7th Annual Bourns Space Science and Engineering Day. The purpose of the activity is to expose children to engineering and space exploration. Our members guided the children and their parents to visit our campus, visit engineering research labs, play games, etc. More than 700 people participated in this event. By jointly-holding this event, children get to know college study and life in their early age. We introduce them to the excitement that is taking place in engineering and give them spirit and energy to move forward.
